Hi everyone, dance friends!
We're coming up to the end of our Fall 1 eight-week dance block, and I want to say: congratulations, and thank you for dancing with us.
Thank you for showing up after a long day. For trying that turn one more time. For welcoming someone new, and for laughing together when the feet had other plans. 😂
Dance has a lovely way of bringing us back to the present. For one song, your attention moves to the music, to your own body, and to the person across from you. Yep, the to-do list can wait. You're right here, moving and connecting, and you often leave a little lighter than you arrived.
As we start bundling up this season (my favorite season), I'm sending everyone a big dance hug. I know many are going through loss, illness, challenges, or other tough stuff. Whether you've been beside us in class or needed some time away, my heart is with you. Trust me, you are not alone.

Spotlight: Learn to Lead
Last newsletter, we spotlighted Saturday Night Dance Fix. This time, I want to introduce something brand new: Learn to Lead, a beginner Salsa and Bachata program for people learning the lead role.
Know someone who keeps saying they'll try dancing "someday"? This might be their moment.
Leading in any partner-dance isn't about controlling your partner. It's about listening, inviting, and responding, one step at a time. You'll learn to feel the music, guide with clarity, and stay present with the person across from you. Anyone can learn either role.

Bring your partner, your husband, or a friend, and let them learn to lead at 50% off.
Ladies, this one is for you. If you're registering for classes, invite someone to join you. Your partner or friend can be male or female, and they need to be new to Flying Dance. They get their first 8-class pass at half price while you dance together. Two guy friends looking for something fun to do on a weeknight are very welcome too.
No partner, experience, or special shoes needed. We rotate partners throughout class, so everyone gets to dance.
Coming together: $313.50 + HST for two.
This package includes your regular 8-class pass ($209) and your friend's New Lead pass ($104.50).
Both new students and both learning to lead? Each of you buys a New Lead pass at $104.50 + HST per person.
Please note: Students using the New Lead offer commit to dancing as leads throughout their promotional classes, without switching to the follow role. Register by November 4. Promotional passes are valid for Fall 2 only (Nov ‘26 to Jan ‘27) and cannot be shared or transferred.
Fall 2 start dates:
Milton | Thursdays, starting November 5
Arthur | Tuesdays, starting November 10
Brantford | Wednesdays, starting November 11
Georgetown | Mondays, starting November 16
Register by November 4. Spots are limited in each city. The offer covers one 8-class pass for Fall 2 dance block only (November ‘26 to January ‘27). It cannot be shared, transferred, or carried into another block.

Next Step Socials | Dance-Open-House
Bonus: Current Student + Bring a Friend Free
I look forward to dancing with you more socially. I will be celebrating your progress, because trust me, many of you are starting to move with more confidence - I like that. So, we will begin with two beginner-friendly lessons followed by social dancing. Let’s practise what you've learned, meet dancers from other classes, and let a friend see why you keep coming back.
Current students attend free (in all the cities), and your first-time guest comes free too (one per event).
Milton | Thursday, October 22
Georgetown | Monday, October 26
Arthur | Tuesday, October 27
Brantford | Wednesday, October 28
Past Students & Visitors: Come Back for a Next Step Social
Been a while? You don't need to remember every step to come back. Join us on the same dates for two lessons to refresh your Salsa and Bachata dancing, then stay for relaxed social dancing. No partner needed, and no remembering-everything test at the door. 😂
Dance Fix Update: From Halloween to the '70s & '80s
Unfortunately, our Halloween Saturday Night Dance Fix is cancelled due to some unavoidable circumstances. I know some of you were looking forward to it, and I truly appreciate your understanding.
Already bought a ticket? You don't need to do anything. Your ticket will be transferred to our '70s & '80s themed Saturday Night Dance Fix on November 14.

So dust off the bell-bottoms, the neon, or the big hair. 😂

Meet the Artists: Old Friends, One Dance Floor
This night is personal for me. The three artists joining us on November 14 have each been part of my dance story, some of them for over twenty years.
DJ Gio, Giovanni Torres | Latin Music & Dance Maestro
We met in 2001. Gio was my first official Salsa instructor, and the strong foundation he gave me inspired me to learn almost every partner dance style since. He's also an amazing DJ and entertainer, and he's teaching our special Cha Cha workshop that afternoon - plus the all levels dance lessons that evening during the Saturday Night Dance Fix.
DJ Gury Gury | Latin Music Maestro
We met in 2004, when I asked Gury to help DJ in a few of our outdoor dance events: Moonlight Dancing (2004 to 2023). Then he joined me at the E-bar (2001 to 2015) - and took over the event from 2012 to 15. He took care of the music, I danced. A great partnership.
DJ LVZ | '70s & '80s Music Maestro
We met in 2016, when he started learning Salsa. He took a break to train in professional boxing, joined me again in 2024, and became a Salsa instructor in 2025. DJing is another of his passions. An inspirational dad, and a very cool dude.
Come dance to the music of the people who shaped my dancing. I can't wait for you to meet them.
Cha Cha: Two Dates for Your Calendar
This Sunday, October 18 | 3:00 PM | Red Chevron Club, Guelph
Our Next Level Cha Cha workshop is on the schedule. Come explore the rhythm, the playful timing, and the partner connection that make this dance so much fun.
[ Please reach out in advance if you plan to attend, since the schedule might change.]
Saturday, November 14 | Guelph
A special Cha Cha workshop with the very first professional instructor who taught me how to dance Salsa! My Salsa dance path began with him and grew into a career and a lifelong exploration of dance. All these years later, I’m still discovering new ways to move, and having him teach our community again feels like coming full circle. Sharing that with you means a lot to me.
Make an (late) afternoon of it, then keep dancing at the ’70s & ’80s Dance Fix that evening!
Thank you for making room in your week for dance, and for each other.
See you on the dance floor!
With rhythm, purpose, and a big hug,
Nico
