Hi everyone,

I hope you are doing well today. You know, story telling is such an important part of my life’s journey and I am very greatful that I teach dance for a living. I currently have a private dance student (whom I taught more than 10 years ago, and wanted to continue dancing with me), [let’s call the gentleman Mr H]; My H has travelled to ALL the 193 countries in our world. He is on of a few hundred (~500 ppl) who have achieved that feet. Dude, respect! And his stories? Wow! He is off to the Canary Islands now. Oh, yeah, he is a photographer. Well, back to my simple reality, lol

Next month, May 2026 | Flying Dance Community turns 22 years old.

That number still blows my mind. Twenty-two years of teaching people to dance in Southern Ontario. Twenty-two years of creating social dance spaces that turned into friendships circles. Twenty-two years of nervous first-timers walking through a door they almost didn't open, and then coming back the week after (or 10+ years later as Mr H demonstrated).

I don't take that lightly. Not for a single second.

So before I say anything else: Thank You! To everyone who has ever taken a class, attended a social, brought a friend, or just showed up on an afternoon, an evening, when showing up felt hard. You are the reason any of this exists.

The fourth stage: Share

Over the last two newsletters, I introduced you to the Flying Connection Method and its four stages: Learn. Practice. Connect. Share.

We talked about Learn | what happens in the class, the structure, the foundation.

We talked about Practice and Connect | what the Next Step Socials are for, and why that bridge between class and the social dance floor matters so much.

Today I want to talk about the fourth stage: Share.

And here's the thing; Sharing is not a new idea. It's actually been here since the beginning.

Every time you brought a friend to a cooking class. Every time you told someone "you should both go watch a movie together." Every time you showed up at a dance social with a partner who'd never danced before and just said "trust me." That was Share.

Sharing your experience is primarily how every dance community in history has grown, not through advertising (too expensive), not through algorithms (too much extra work), but through one person turning to another and saying: this is something worth doing, and I want you to experience it too.

The Flying Connection Method just gives that instinct a name and a structure.

Dance Open Houses are back.
We host these events every two months. The most direct way to live the "Share" stage of the Flying Connection Method is an Open House.

Our Discover Dance Passport is the open invitation that makes it easy. It's a free pass your friends, family, coworkers, anyone you've been meaning to bring along, can use to try up to four beginner dance classes across our different styles and cities. No commitment, no cost to them. Just a chance to experience what you've been experiencing.
